My hair..

My poor.... poor... beautiful... thick tresses and mane, lol. I'm guessing I've lost like 30-40% of my hair! Maybe it feels like so much but then again I had a LOT of hair.

**In before "it will grow back!" :)

Have a great day everyone!

I lost 75% of my hair.  Only person that noticed was myself and my clogged shower drain.  It's a blessing to have thick hair during this as we can lose a lot and yes we notice but others seldom do.  I had no bald spots but it was definitely no longer a mane.

Put your hair in a pony tail and see how many extra turns of the elastic you need.  I realized quickly just how much was gone by that alone.  I used to have a big thick pony tail and it went down to almost the size of what a child would have  LOL  It grows back but all those short little pieces drove me nuts as they grew.

Seyenna when did you start noticing your hair falling out?  I ask as I just had my surgery February 4th (and 6th) and got a pixie cut in advance but I think it's starting now for me.  Just wanting to be prepared.

Mine felt early! Jaxie and I had surgery the same day and I started losing hair by week 6. I regret getting my hair cut before I needed to. The thing is, my hair was so thick that my hairdresser thinned it out for me and I didn't even think to stop her.. lol

I have one friend who felt her hair looked a lot better after her vertical sleeve, because it had been so thick it was difficult to manage.  Now it has thinned out and she really likes it.  I'm not sure what her plan is for when it grows back.

I haven't had my surgery yet, but I've planned that if I lose a lot of hair (which is already pretty thin) I'm going to crop my hair short and wear turbans.  Think 30s film star glamourous turbans.  In colours to coordinate with all of my outfits.  And some with jewelled brooches on the front.  I may be disappointed if I don't lose a lot of hair.

Well. You're going to be quite a sight to see, strolling the streets of downtown Sudbury, aren't you?
