Morning Barb :)

I hope the move is going well for your friend (and therefore you!).

Off to work this morning, doctor appointment after, a stop at the "coffee store" to restock my supply of Starbucks Veranda then home to eat, sleep, and do it all again tomorrow! lol

Aside - for Keurig users (frequent flyers), where do you buy your K-cups? I've been going to "Koffee Korner" in my neighbourhood but I think they'll be going out of business soon, judging by their overall lack of stock and shortened hours. So, in true addict form, where else can I get my fix in bulk? LOL

9 years post-op

- coffee with cream x 3 over the day -

B - Premier protein shake

S - Greek yogurt, handful of grapes

L - meat/cheese/pickle roll-ups (ham and roast beef) (3) with mustard for dipping, a few carrots and celery with dip

S - same as lunch pretty much

D - leftover lasagna guts (sounds gross)

S - London fog

Happy Friday Junior!

K. :)

Hi Karen

I go to Costco and purchase in bulk there.  I love the Starbucks Verona.  Its a dark roast so if you like Veranda its likely not for you.

Costco has their own brand - and Timothy's and someone else.  Worth a try.  Sounds like you are a light roast drinker and I believe they have more of that style then my dark roast.

Coffee is important!  I really find it an asset when I want something to eat and am sick of water.

I also get the Verona at Costco occasionally. I'm such a coffee addict that I have different blend preferences for different times of day. I find the Veranda to be a good "overall staple" and it's not too blonde that it lacks substance.

Sounds like we're critiquing fine wine. ;)

lol...you're right re the critiquing.

I also have Starbucks decaf for afternoon cups....and Presidents Choice dark and medium for a change.  I have some flavored - likely kept them too long - but I am not fond of them.  I should just get rid of them as they take up space in my many carousels for k-cups!

Do you mean the PC Great Canadian? I really enjoy the dark and medium of those as well.  I don't drink any flavoured coffees, can't stand them.

I'm in a bit of a catch-22 with my machine, though. Unwittingly I replaced my Keurig with a 2.0, not realizing that it had the ability to determine (and reject) "Keurig approved" cups vs. any other brand/company. This really limits my choices (and I am beyond pissed about it) as I love trying different companies (Doi Chaang Co. makes a couple of awesome blends, for example). There's a "fix" (cutting the top off an approved cup and taping it to any other cup) but quite frankly, it takes the convenience out of the experience. lol

I saw this fix months ago when the 2.0 came out and laughed at how they must have spent a fortune to DRM protect it and people are finding all kinds of easy ways to get by it.  This one is better than having to put the lid on each cup.

Very simple step #1 locate the needle that punctures the k-cup. step #2 temporarily remove the rubber grommet. step #3 place use cut off top up the needle inside machine. step #4 replace rubber grommet. step #5 enjoy the permanent fix
Your welcome and I also posted a video on you tube today showing how this works.

Hi Karen,

For K Cups, along with Tassimo, there is a coffee store called ESC (ECS) Coffee.  They are online as well they have stores in Ancaster, Burlington, and Milton.  They carry a huge variety of coffee, tea, da vinci flavourings, teas, etc.  I think they also have free delivery on a certain amount ordered.
