EXTREMELY frustrated and very discouraged!

I have a friend who's referral was put in on June 9, 2014.  Called HRRH 4x to follow up in 6 months of waiting and HRRH would only say they hadn't received the referral as yet so she had her doctor resend the referral 3x!!!.  Through checking with others who have been through the process discovered the doctor was sending the referral incorrectly.  No one contacted the doctor from the Bariatric Referral or HRRH to say they had sent the wrong form for referral.  Finally she got an info session in March and is now being told HRRH are still working on getting surgeon appointments for people who went to the information session in DECEMBER!!!  What the hell is going on?  I've been through the process as have many of my family members and none of us have had this much delay.  Could the delays be due to the construction and planned move of the clinic?  Any tips out there on how and where to file a complaint?

Where are you located?  I got sick of the waiting for HRRH and got transferred to TWH.  As you can see from my signature, TWH is MUCH faster.  And the things I've read/heard about their surgeons/nurses is glowing. 

I got switched because TWH was easier for me to get to given that I rely on public transportation.  And it's much closer to my work, so I didn't have to worry about booking full days off to go to appointments.  The receptionists are great and you can call for cancellations.
