In weird/bad place

So I had surgery jan 21!  So I am about 11 weeks out.  I feel completely normal like I never even had the surgery.  I have lost 49 lbs  since jan 1 but since mid March I hadn't lost anything.  The only time I can feel that I have had surgery is if I don't chew properly or eat to fast.  I get the stick sensation.

We went away for March break and ever since I have been testing my pouch. I don't know why ...  There worst party is I seem to be able to eat anything.  Mind you I eat small portions of trouble foods but I still do it :(.  I have had a couple fries, slice of pizza, Easter egg (mini one), pad Thai, popcorn.  I am so scared of failure... And am fustrated at my stall and the fact I still have cravings...  Guess I just need to journal and figure this out...

anyone else feel feel normal this early?

surgery was the easy part...

You have a great tool but that is all it is. It is now up to you to use it. You are wasting the best time you have for weight loss by eating crap. If you want to be successful get back on plan and get into some healthy habits.

You were probably in a stall, and eating the "test" foods isn't helping.  Go back to plan, back to journaling and go from there.

If you feel you need to, call your centre and ask for help. I got help at 9 months out, as I was starting to go back to bad habits.

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

I really appreciate your honesty.  There's some great advice above.  I think it's normal to feel dejected after a stall.  Remember you can do this though.  You can totally do this.  Just got to hang in there and give your new tool a chance.  I know that for myself - I don't dare eat fries, chips or pizza - I just know that is what got me here.

Stay strong.  Follow the plan.  Protein first :)  Rooting for you.

I hear you about the surgery being the easy part! The good thing is that you are aware of the problem, which means you are on track to making changes. Get back on that horse and you will feel better.

Hey surgery buddy!

I'm sorry you've hit a rough spot but you're doing so well! You had surgery the day before me and weighed less and you've lost almost 50 pounds - that's fabulous. You're not gonna throw that away for a few fries, right? :)

I feel pretty normal most of the time too, so we just need to keep thinking about what the vets say - just because we CAN eat something doesn't mean we SHOULD! We can do this!!! I'm rooting for you!
