Surgery Schedule Change(s)

After getting my surgery date set for May 5, my darling wife was safe to book a flight to LA on May 20 to her nephew's wedding. The next day after she booked, I got a phone call saying there had been an error in booking my date, and the new date was.....you guessed it- May 19. We weren't in panic mode as there was a surgery date open on May 2, too, but who wants to ask to have surgery delayed on purpose?

I emailed Dr. Aarts and called her booking person to see if there was an alternative. She said she would do what she could. As it turns out, she called all of the people who were booked after May 5 and before the 19th on her list. I cannot believe that someone would go to that much trouble when they could easily have said 'Tough luck, buddy'. Wasn't that a nice thing to do?

On top of it all, the booking lady called this morning and said that some gracious soul said sure they would change, no problem. Now my wife can be home for my surgery and still go to the wedding. Wasn't that another nice thing to do. If you are the one who agreed to swap and are reading this, you have my eternal gratitude.

There are some very nice people in this world who do some very nice things. If anyone of you get to deal with Dr Aarts or Dr. Cyriac, you should know they have an awesome team working with them. Sometimes we get caught up in ourselves and our own world, but by and large, we do have some good people working for us, too.

Keith this is great news.  I had Dr. Aarts do my surgery (surgeries actually, Feb 4th and 6th)  and she is amazing.  Kind, caring, explains everything well.  I had a complication and she was with me every step of the way and even came in to the hospital on her day off to finish my surgery (was 4 p.m. on a Friday)!

I am so happy for you and just thrilled for you that you have Dr. Aarts!
