What are the steps from here?

I know this has probably been asked a thousand times but what are the steps you have to take before surgery?  I am having my pre surgical stuff done at Kingston Hotel Dieu Hospital.  I have had my orientation and have an appointment with the nurse practitioner tomorrow.  Can anyone tell me what I can expect from here on out?  I will be having surgery at Humber from what I am told.  I am just so relieved to be on this journey - I was terrified that they would turn me down.  I am thankful I found this forum where I can meet others who have been on a similar journey. 

I was going through at the beginning of the change in process in Ottawa, which was before Kingston started.  You will see the nutritionist and social worker that I know.  You may need a sleep test, and an ECG and bloodwork done.  The nurse will order some of it.  The rest seems to have changed, and depends on the clinic.  Some have a pre-surgery class, and meet the surgeon/internist.

I do wish you well on your journey, it's not quick, but it's worth it.
