Transfer Done
Received a call today that my transfer request to Guelph has gone through. I have to go to an orientation on April 9th. Interesting to hear that their process is a little different than Humber. But very excited to get going especially since I have been bored as I am not working right now.
March 2014 Doctor sent referal, Orientation Humber Aug 2014, Surgeon Nov. 2014, Trio Appt. Feb 2015 - Request transfer to Guelph Mar. 2015 Orientation Guelph April 9th, 2015 Initial one-on-one May 5th, 2015. Trio Appt. Aug. 14th, 2nd Trio Oct. 16. Nov. 20 Approved. , Meeting Surgeon Dec. 23. Opti Fast Jan. 14th, Surgery Date: Jan. 28th 2016
Hey Sandra... Glad you got the transfer and can now continue on with the process. I had my surgery in Guelph and I quite liked almost everyone at the clinic. They are very thorough and helpful. Best of luck with everything! Kim

Thank you Kim. I was actually at the site a few weeks ago asking how I transfer and they were fabulous. Told me what I needed to do. I'm glad I switched cause I really didn't see the point of driving 2 hours when Guelph is 20 minutes from where I live.

Completely understandable and you will really appreciate being close to home when you have your surgery too. Hope it all goes smoothly from here. I was about 11 months from orientation to surgery and probably could have been quicker if I had been able to take every appointment slot they offered me. Good people there so you're in good hands! ☺️

I just called Humber and asked to be transferred to Guelph. If Guelph has the room they will accept you.

Hi, I called Humber today to switch to Guelph and the lady just said okay. Then I told her that I was to have Orientation on Feb.14 at Humber and that I had all my paper work from Dr. ($75) and my part completed and sent to Humber via Xpresspost Friday. I asked if they would forward that to Guelph and she said no they will just destroy it and I will have to do different forms from Guelph. Really!!!!

Not sure why she would say that cause Humber sent everythi g in ny file to Guelph. Also not sure why it cost you $75 to send stuff from your doctors office to Humber.
