It's not weight gain, it's HYDRATION :)
I went for my one-month surgeon's visit today. I was freaking out a bit (ok, a whole lot!) because I not only have stopped losing for the last week, I actually gained two pounds
I was feeling super defensive and brought in my food records so I could PROVE I hadn't been cheating! But I didn't need to have worried. Dr Reed explained that at my last weigh-in I would have been been a bit dehydrated because I wasn't getting all my water in. I was, in his words, a little "pruney" :)
Now that I'm getting my 8 cups a day, it's normal that I wouldn't register a loss and maybe even have a little gain. Now why didn't I think of that before I got all hot and bothered!?
To put the icing on the cake (pardon the expression) he told me I was doing really well and that I can start swimming again.
I love my surgeon :)
Water may have had something to do with it but I would be more apt to venture a guess that you hit the dreaded "3 week stall" that almost everyone goes through, hydrated or not. If you do a search here on OH (little magnifying glass) for "3 week stall" you will find hundreds, if not thousands, of posts about exactly what you're going through. I hope your surgeon told you there would be stalls, pauses, etc. all the way along.
