No appetite and No Taste?

I'm just finished my 3rd week post op and I find I have no appetite and absolutely no taste. In fact I find eating such a chore. I have to start early in the morning because I spend the whole day trying to get food in.

Not complaining just wondering if anyone is/has gone through the same thing?

I am on day 4 post op and have the same thing.....I think it's common. I'm not a big fan of jello, so so much for that!!! I'm juice and broth for a few more days.

For the first 2 weeks post op it's liquids and jello definitely loses its charm. It gets better I know

I am almost finishing my week 4 and had the same feeling as what you are experiencing now - however, this week I am staring to feel a bit hungry. I feel that I need to chew. I asked the nurse at my one month appointment  and she said it is very normal. When I say I am starting to feel hungry - it is about 3 hrs. My first go to food is protein shakes, cottage cheese, eggs and soup. I have tried curry beans ( mashed ) for the spice taste. My pouch did not like mashed potatoes . Oh one more thing - I find that choc shake is too sweet now - taste buds are changing from week to week .

Dolly after 2 weeks of opti I was so turned off of anything that resembled a shake!  Today was the first day that it actually stayed down. I blended fruit and it was ok.

working on getting into a routine and can't wait to start exercising this week!!!!! Yay.

I too find many things too sweet...which I think is a good thing.

I know I am enjoying the too sweet part as well - lol. If you are not taking protein shakes then how are you taking your protein ?

Dolly Greek yogurt and protein pancakes are amazing. I blend oatmeal, egg whites and milk and make pancakes. So many amazing recipes online. I use sf sryup. Excellent!
