Does anyone have any suggestions on what type of exercises and how often that will help firm the arms and inside thighs/legs, surgery isn't until the 24th of March, I don't think I will have an excess amount of skin but then again, who knows....suggestions appreciated...

thanks

I do a class at goodlife called body pump. It has done wonders tightening things up for me! I highly recommend it. The weight does not have to be heavy. Same as you, I had some "trouble areas" and wow. my arms, legs and even my stomach, and even my butt have seen some amazing changes in a short period of time. I go 2 times a week. I do other exercises (volleyball and walking), but this has changed it all. Hope this helps!

I got an elastic rope thing (it has handles) stand on it and pull up with arms both directions.  It is crazy how this has tightened my arms.  I went from chicken flapping arms to arms firm biceps, triceps and whatever is under your arm near armpits.  I can now wear tops with no sleeves and not be embarrassed.  I do 45 pulls for each direction of my arm a day (if that makes sense).

For my legs I do walking squats around the house.  Stomach plank and crunches.

Breast - hopeless and will need a breast lift  when I reach 18 months.

Good luck.

Exercise can definitely give your body some tone (muscles) but if you are asking about ways to prevent excess, loose skin - there aren't any and people telling you that certain exercises or exercise equipment are incorrect. The loose skin resulting from major weight loss is completely stretched and damaged and no amount of exercise is going to change it unfortunately, only plastic surgery. You may be lucky with good genes and good skin and have some elasticity bounce back, but the majority of us do not.

I have to agree after losing 120+lbs and keeping off 104lbs for 6 years now, I had a pannilectomy.....there was no way that extra bum in front was going to bounce back and my arms...well they are what they are.!
