Hey there, hoping someone cm help me find a good place to but unflavored protein powder to add to soups and stuff... I had surgery Monday and the patient shake I got really does not taste good and I know I'm not yet getting enough protein.

Also.. what Di you guys eat for breakfast at this stage? Currently it's a protein drink for me.

Try Bulk Barn.  They have an unflavored protein powder, and you can just buy a little to see if you like it.  There are some that like the shakes from there (as I said, you can check it out and only buy a small amount to try).  A lot of people like the Premier Protein shakes from Costco.  I have milk issues, so I don't drink most shakes.

As for breakfast, if you are on the liquid stage, you can do oatmeal.  I'd make it thin though.  The recipe I follow is 1/3 c quick oats, 1 c water and microwave for 99 seconds.  I'll also add vanilla extract, low fat coffeemate (due to milk issues) and a bit of sweetner.  You probably won't be eating the whole recipe yet.  I still make it this way.  You could also have yogurt.

Thought of yogurt, not really a fan of it most days.  might try plain oatmeal... I have those sugar free calorie free syrups.. wondering if those would be okay in there.

Unfortunately I don't live anywhere near a Costco :(

And awesome idea for the bulk barn!! I never thought of there. A friend down south when I stopped in on my way for surgery showed me some cookies and cream protein shake a. .. that I have not seen anywhere else... I haven't tried it yet...   might be good to keep as a treat shake. Lol.

As long as you like the flavor, go for it.  It's all experimenting right now.  Oh, I've also used Maple Extract in my oatmeal.  It tastes good as well.  Just depends on what flavors you like.  Oatmeal is a plain flavor that you can add a lot to.

I've bought a bunch on-line from Unjury whi*****ludes an unflavoured one that can be heated to 140F. They have a chicken soup flavoured one as well.

I think they were about $22/container...container is a little smaller than others at the store. They came in within a couple days...it wasn't too long.
