Timing of Vitamins???
Hi All...I'm struggling with the timing of when to take all my vitamins, especially my calcium and iron. I am 9 months out tomorrow (RYN) and have lost 155 pounds!!! Because I also take a variety of meds it makes for handfuls of pills and there don't seem to be enough hours in the day. I am hoping some of you would be willing to share your vitamin "schedule"????
Thanks...Jane

Hi Jane,
I too am 9 month out, and only take the vitamins. I take my multi which has the b12 in it after breakfast. I then take my Calcium citrate and Vitamin D after lunch and then the calcium and vitamin D again after dinner. Last check up all my vitamin levels were perfect.
Hope this helps.

to be honest it really depends on your other meds and any interactions, as well as your multis, calcium and iron (dose/times per day) probably best to call your center and speak to the nurse. I am only on the multi vits and calcium right now (and a monthly B-12 shot) but my the multi I have is a 3x daily dose and the calMag Vit D is also 3x daily so I wake up and take the Multi, 2 hr later take the calmag then at lunch take the multi and 2 hr later take the cal mag then at dinner take the multi and make sure I take my cal mag before bed. but I don't have any other meds to worry about your center will be able to set up a customized schedule for you based on your meds and type of supplements you take

It's a juggling act especially if you take a lot of supplements/vitamins
I get my Vitamin D, and Multi vitamin with my breakfast
Then I take my Iron a couple of hours later (some people take it with their multi or Vitamin C)
at lunch I take my calcium, another iron
at dinner I take another iron
I use a liquid Vitamin D called Bio-D Mulsion 1000
Bariatric Advantage multi vitamin
can't remember the iron, but it's not a generic one...
