Another question for the vets
I will be a year post op on February 11th. I am afraid that I have stretched my stoma as I have noticed that I am able to chug water without it bothering me. When I looked it up, that is what it said
Also....I have NEVER had to chew my food/ meat to mush, nothing has ever got stuck. Could it be that my stoma is larger then the dime size? I'm very worried about this now that I am so far out.
Is there anything I can do for this? I see my surgeon/nurse/dietician on February 4th. Should I voice my concern. Or am I just being paranoid?
Kim :-(
We can't possibly know if your stoma is stretched simply because you can eat and drink without issue. I would highly doubt that is the case but since you mentioned you have your year follow-up on the 4th it would be best to ask the professionals if you are concerned.

I have always been able to eat and drink fairly normally. I only remember one time I experienced pain.
Mention it but I doubt they will be concerned. Choices matter more.
