I got my Surgery Date!!

So Excited!  Met Dr. Aarts this morning, my surgery is February 3rd at Toronto East General.  Dr Aarts is such a lovely person, made me feel really comfortable.  I start opti right away so I have to pick it up in Mississauga tomorrow.

Yay! Congrats! Not long now. Time will fly by, and before you know it, you'll be on the bench.

Great News!  I start Opti on Monday and really can't wait.  It means one step closer to surgery date.  BTW chocolate is available!  Good luck and keep us posted.

Thank you, yes I called and asked for cancellations for every appointment they gave me.  I live pretty close to the hospital so it was easy for me to be able to take cancellations that were the next day.  Just call for every appointment to see if there is something earlier, i always got one when I asked.

I was TWH today too and met Dr Aarts, you're right she is wonderful, my surgery is the day after yours on Feb 4 at TEGH, and just had my first (choc) opti after collecting it this afternoon. It wasn't as bad as I thought.

We may be on the same ward, let me know how you get on with your opti.

Wow we are surgery buddies!  I will have to look for you at the hospital.  Do you live in toronto?  You picked up your opti already, I'm going tomorrow to get it.

Hi again! Yes my hubby to be and I trekked out to Mississauga on transit to get it at Medical Mart lol. They were really nice at Medical Mart. How did you get on heading out to pick up your Opti? I must say it is weird not to be able to have a last supper but that's ok because I am ready. 

Yes I live in Toronto. Do you as well? Hubby to be and I are trekking out on transit tomorrow to see where TEGH is exactly. I'm disappointed not to have been at either TWH or St. Mike's but so happy to be able to have Dr. Aarts so that makes up for it. Yay. 

Let me know how you get on with your Opti. I think I like both choc and vanilla equally and have found 2 cups of water and 1 cup of ice with Opti in the blender to be the best way for me to have it so far.
