Got my "Tenative" Surgery Date!! Wohoo

Hello,

I just went for my Nurse Practictioner/Dietician/Social Worker appointment on Monday and today I got a "Tenative" date for surgery on May 11, 2015. My surgeon is Dr. Starr at HRRH. Has anyone else ever gotten a Tenative date before? What does it mean? I am so excited to be part of the bench soon!! :D

When did you start the process. I have Dr. Starr too by Trio appointments aren't till Feb. 5th. Not sure what Tenative date is either.

March 2014 Doctor sent referal, Orientation Humber Aug 2014, Surgeon Nov. 2014, Trio Appt. My referral was in April, My meeting with Dr. Starr was November 6, and my 3 appointments were Monday.

The information was in my signature before not sure why it disappeared.

Ok just curious we seem to have a similar referal, and appointment with Dr. Starr. Did they send you for any other tests? Did you see Dr. Glazier? That might be why your date is tentative. If he sees you sooner they will move the date up. I'm guessing.

No my appointment with Dr. Glazer is March 31 and Dr. Starr gave me the May 11 appointment before knowing when my appointment with Dr. Glazer was. I called Dr. Glazer's office and they said March 31 is enough time before Surgery.

Hi Amanda congratulations,

I had gotten a tenative date also....the explanation I was given is the date can change if a cancer or heart patient require surgery.

But on the upside when a spot came up for bariatrics I was given the date. Hope this helps.

good for you!! I also am seeing Dr. Starr and I have my trio appts on Monday, and Dr. Glazer is booked for February 25. I wasn't given any tentative date though. I will keep you posted on my date. I also live in Oshawa :) My referral date was May 29.14
