Trio Appointment Question
Just wondering if it is good idea for me to take someone with me to the Trio Appointments?
March 2014 Doctor sent referal, Orientation Humber Aug 2014, Surgeon Nov. 2014, Trio Appt. Feb 2015 - Request transfer to Guelph Mar. 2015 Orientation Guelph April 9th, 2015 Initial one-on-one May 5th, 2015. Trio Appt. Aug. 14th, 2nd Trio Oct. 16. Nov. 20 Approved. , Meeting Surgeon Dec. 23. Opti Fast Jan. 14th, Surgery Date: Jan. 28th 2016
I guess you are referring to the appointments with the nurse, social worker and nutritionist...I think it's a personal decision based on where you are in your own thinking and how the person you would bring would support you. I have not brought anyone along to date but think I will bring a family member to the pre-op appointment with the anesthesiologist. If I had it to do over again I probably would take someone to the first meeting with the surgeon.

Thanks for input. I'm actually glad I didn't take anyone to the first appointment cause it was a hour late. But given the questions and concerns that we all have very understandable.

It's always good to have support with you during these appointments especially if they can help you remember things you may be forgetting :-)
