Morning all :)

Off to work 'til 2 PM today, going to see the newest Hobbit movie with a friend late-afternoon, not sure what else! It's a COLD one out there - keep warm! I was relieved to hear that my blood work all came back perfectly normal yesterday - at least something about me is "normal". lol

CC, if you're reading, I sure hope you're feeling better today! That must have been quite a fall to land you in the hospital. Take care, friend.

Michelle, I hope your neck issues are better today too!

Barb, could you give us a weather report so that I may vicariously live through you? ;)

8.5 years post-op

- coffee with cream x 3 over the  morning/early afternoon -

B - Premier protein shake sipped alongside my coffee

S - Greek yogurt, handful of grapes

L - spring mix/veggie salad with a little white balsamic honey-infused vinegar (my gawd that is good), ham/cheese/pickle roll-ups (2) sliced to bite-sized and placed in salad, 2 crackers

S - some popcorn at the movie, coffee with cream

D - later dinner: 3 buffalo chicken "flings" (equal to 3.5 oz chicken breast, made by Pinty's, extremely delicious), a little blue cheese for dipping, a couple of cucumber slices

S - nothing

Have a terrific Tuesday!

K. :)

Good morning Karen. The pain is not getting any better so I spent most of the day and night flat on my back. Let's hope the CT scan let's us know what's happening. Karen I am so glad your bloodwork was perfect, please enjoy your movie.

Not sure what I'll be eating today, but I will try to get in some protein.

I am living vicariously through all of you so please have fun, be active and make good choices.

So glad to hear from you, CC. I'm so sorry that your extreme pain continues. Hopefully the CT scan will give them some idea of what's going on. Hang in there! XO

Oh, cc, so sorry to hear that your pain is so bad. I hope it gets better soon. If it makes you feel any better, last week I felt hopeless and like the pain would never go away. But it is healing up nicely and I know that yours will too. Good for you for resting. That's exactly what you need to be doing. You don't want to give yourself a setback. Good luck.

Karen, you early bird, you. I'm doing alright, in fact much better yesterday then last week. Thanks very much for asking. I hope you enjoy your movie today. There are a few movies that I'd like to see as well. I'm still using the voice activated typing thing on my tablet. So any typos or grammatical errors can be blamed on that. Haha.

I went to work yesterday, mostly just to talk to my supervisor about some sort of accommodation due to my neck and arm/hand issues, however I managed to get quite a bit of work done, which was pretty great. Today I will be working from home, because I have doctor's appointments in the middle of the day. And I will find out from the specialist exactly what kind of accommodations I will need at work. I don't want to be off sick. I like my job and would like to work.

This morning, I had a slice of sourdough multigrain toast because I ran out of p28 bread. I will have to pick up some more today at some point. Had a fried egg with half a slice of processed cheese melted on it. It was pretty good.

The one good thing about this whole mess is that I'm back down to 182, and I'm hoping that I can continue to build on that. Got 10000 steps yesterday and the day before, because I found that walking actually helps to control the pain. Cheapest physiotherapy I've had yet!

I'm going out with my cousin for lunch because she is driving me to the doctor's office so I'm not sure what I'll be having for lunch but it will be something healthy with protein because we're going to Fresh. For supper I will have leftover Thai cilantro shrimp. Oh Karen I owe you the recipe for that. I will type it out once I can type more again. Feel free to remind me. It's pretty easy, a quick stir fry.

For snacks, I have some grapes and red pepper slices as well as some chicken spread for protein. Hope everyone has a great day today.

Yep, I'm an early bird alright - I get up at around 5 on work days to accommodate my meds schedule and I have found it to be a peaceful, wonderful, non-stressed way to start my day. :)

I'm really glad to hear that you are improving! And yes, when you're able I would love to have that recipe and thank you :)

steps 3754...not good

Morning all,

OMG CC! I hope they figure it out and can control your pain soon! Send healing vibes :)

Onward.. I hope you feel better soon as well, healing vibes to you as well :)

Karen, enjoy your movie today :)

Yesterday was not a good day, and today is not looking any better... I have the flu. Couldn't keep anything in me yesterday and today is the same already. I keep drinking my water and tea and I will try some broth today.

Take care all and be well

Tanya

Hope you feel better. If you have some fresh ginger and lemon make a tea with it. It helps the tummy and gives you vit C
