Surgery Date?

Hi I am new here - Anyone recently get a surgery date for the Ottawa Civic Hospital?

I don't have a date yet, but I have pre-surgery class on the 21st and meet the surgeon on Feb. 10th.  Have already completed NP, Dietician and Behaviourist in 2014. 

I don't want to hijack your question, but does anyone know how long after you meet the surgeon in Ottawa do you get your surgery date?

I have my surgery on the 21st at the Civic.  I got a cancelation and met the surgeon on November 23rd.  Now in the Optifast and different version of the waiting phase.

I would love to know if there is a local support group?

Good luck to you on the 21st!  I will be there for pre-surgery class and will think of you. 

I don't know of an Ottawa support group - wouldn't mind finding/starting one in the West End though if there is enough interest.

I met with my Surgeon (Dr. Neville) on December 16th. Just waiting for the call for the Surgery date. Last I heard it will likely be February/March - Looking forward to no more waiting and appointments!
