This is my first day on the site and my first day on Optifast...For the next three weeks until my surgery Jan 27/14. I've seen several posts referring to Premier Shakes but have never heard of them. Can someone please fill me in? Are these recommended by your surgeon?

Premier Protein Shake is protein shake that is enjoyed by most after surgery.  Doctors recommend 80 - 90 grams of protein a day, that is a lot of protein when you have a tiny pouch so many people take about 2 - 3 protein shakes a day to be sure the protein recommendations are met.  My surgery is on January 30 and I am buying them whenever they are on sale.  The chocolate one tastes like chocolate milk. Really yummy!

I was told 60g protein after surgery. I am 4 weeks post op now.  The premier protein has 30g per container.  I think it tastes like chocolate milk myself.  There are others for you to drink post op but this is best option as you only need two to get your protein in. I do think I read somewhere it is for this week and someone said only two cases per membership. I did go and buy two but say nothing about a limit. Hope to get more as I am sure I will be drinking at least one a day for awhile

I found out today is the last day for the sale of premier protein shake at Costco...Was told that Kirkland Protein Shake was $22.00 for 32.   Has anyone tried Kirkland Protein Shake the vanilla?  Do they have the same nutrients as Premier Protein Shake?

No, the Kirkland brand does NOT have same values as Premier. I used Premier before surgery instead of Optifast.  My surgeon OKed it first.
