Food too Dry

I am about 8 months post op and rarely eat dry food.  Today I made my pita wrap a little dryer then usual and quickly realised that dry food still does not go down well and could not finish my sandwich as food felt stuck.

I kinda thought that perhaps this would stop overtime as it has been so long since I have had a reaction to food going down wrong.

For all the veterans out there...do you always have difficulty swallowing dryish food or does that stop at some point?

Thanks,

Kelly

Hi Kelly,

I don't know about the others, but I still have problems with dry foods. I may tolerate it more than before, but it can still be a problem. I can also have problems with some raw foods still as well.  Such as apples.  Cooked, is fine, just not raw.

Pork chops and chicken breast...I have to be very careful although I am only 1 year post op.

I have to go slow and make sure my mouth is watery enough to swallow it...
