Great Orientation

Had a great orientation in Guelph last night!  Everyone was very nice and explained everything beautifully!  Called this morning for my first set of appointments which are fairly soon....nervous and excited all at the same time.  Go to meet the RN on Jan. 6!!  Anyone have any words of advice??  Thanks:)

Hi congrats! I'm not sure how it works out in Guelph but at TWH I continuously called twice every week to see if there were any cancellations which sped up my appointment process to surgery.

Relax and njoy the journey. Take this time to make some small changes. i am sure the Centre will have suggestions for you

Nice Kelly. I'm a few weeks ahead of you, also at Guelph.  My nurse visit last week was fine, no issues.  Dietician is next week!  Exciting eh'?

I'm at Guelph too and you're right - everyone is really nice. But they're pretty strict about a couple of things. First off, you'll get weighed at your first appointment and every appointment after that. Try REALLY hard not to gain any weight (I know, easy to say) as they say it looks like you aren't taking the process seriously. Second, although many centre's allow or even encourage patients to use protein supplements like shakes, Guelph doesn't. They like us to get all our protein from food.

I know they'll tell you all these things but just a heads-up.
