Same with me Jax! This is my go to' for everything surgery related, and I don't see myself not posting while i am going through this... I have met about four people form the site, and its always nice to put a face to the posts! And yes, for sure, you can get a sense of who someone is from online, at least I think I can.

This is an emotional rollercoaster, so I get that lady. I have to say, navigating the many emotions I have felt throughout this journey has been the most challenging part of all.

Spill your guts anytime, we love it!

Hey girl hey! You're totally right, I've always been a lurker then got so excited prior to surgery and posted a few posts and now been pretty ghostly and the funny thing is...I didn't realize my input and experience made a difference. But you're completely right it just may. The same way I love reading and creeping on yours! Thank you for the motivation I'll try posting more or at all lol!

Still here. Still posting. Although more rarely these days as I find I have very little to add to the plethora of knowledge already posted!

Something I have not done is posted photos. Maybe for my 1 year surgiversary in February. To be determined.

But I log on frequently and I do read often.

FWIW: I see much of the same phenomena in the VSG forum as well. I would assume it's the same in the RNY forum. Vets drift away or become weary of posting the same old, same old over and over. Understandable. Interest waxes and wanes for most, and often in relation to how far out from surgery you are. The same phenomena is seen with other health issues; I can vouch for that having blogged about infertility for 6+ years... while I was going through the thick of it all. Such is life, I expect.

I think that there are still a lot of people out there that are keeping an eye on what's going on.  But like others, I won't post if someone has already said the same thing or if I don't have an answer because of how specific the question is (i.e. timelines in Guelph, I'm from Ottawa and it's changed there too).  There are those who decide not to stay on because they don't feel like they need the site any more.  But there are always those types of peope in every group.

I come here religiously on a daily basis. I read most of the posts but only answer some that I feel I am qualified for only being 16 weeks post op myself. I will say that immediately post op I was so busy trying to get everything on schedule and down to a routine that there was no time to be on here other than when I am at work. Another thing that takes up a lot of your time is getting busy on some kind of physical activity. There are a lot of good people on here new to vets who do such a great job answering the posts that sometimes it may be a tad redundant anything I have to add. I appreciate all the ones who stick around and offer up their time & help to us newbies as well. Just hang in there Jennifer__34 I'm sure they will be back on here as things start winding down to their "New Normal"!!!

Well, for what its worth - I am still here and I believe you and I had surgery around the same time (Oct 13th 2014 for me).  I am alive and doing well! I am tolerating everything I have tried to eat - I am still trying to keep the carb monster away - no pasta, rice, potatoes or bread, but it must be paying off, I have lost just over 40 lbs and I am happy with that.  Sometimes I do look at others high weight loss numbers (although I know we are not suppose to compare ourselves) and then I slap myself and remind myself that when in my life have I ever taken off 40 lbs in less than 2 months!? of course the answer is, I haven't - that motivates me to keep this train rolling.

Anyway, just so you know - I am still here

Not much to say ... I usually peek in a few times a week and see what's what.  I just don't feel the need to post every high and low.  I'm got my head down and am plugging along in this journey.  I don't really feel like I have much to add.

Since my Orientation Session at TWH on Oct 22'14, I visit this forum multiple times daily.  Since I am so early on in my journey, and so full of questions, it's been really helpful and informative.

A lot of the questions I do have, I know will be answered at Group Sessions and/or at my appointments. Most of them are just because I am so eager!

The posts I really like are the "what are you eating".

I will keep visiting and keep reading and hopefully one day, have something to share

Thank you!
