Hi Everyone, I'm looking for recommendations for protein bars.  I have a lot of options when it comes to protein shakes, but I've never really tried any protein bars, so I'd love to hear about everyone's favourite brands and flavours!

Thanks in advance for sharing!

I know premier protein has 30g protein bars.  Not sure about taste.

Some of the bars are denser so take a bit of chewing to eat. I love the pure protein Bars. The simply bars are okay but not my favourite but would probably be easier to tolerate at this point.

There are so many protein bars it is a little overwhelming.  I usually get quest or simply bars as they are very filling.  My favourite protein bars are powercrunch bars, I find they taste the best, nice and flakey wafers are a welcome texture change too. I do not find them very filling though so I only have them occasionally.  Have tried smart for life bars and they are not bad too, costco has them and the simply bars too.

So many choices but you really need to be careful. I have used the premier protein bars as a treat or when I was having a very busy day and needed to make sure I got in my protein. I have tried oh yeah bars, pure protein as well.

Try an assortment. The thing I love about Costco is you can but anything and even bring back less than half, they will refund your money, no questions asked.

Lorainne the NUT at TWH told me to avoid premier, at least during the losing phase. Was bummed about it, because they have such good reviews...

Thanks, everybody!  I'm always overwhelmed when I look for bars (and is it just me or do most of them have way more carbs than you would expect?).  I probably won't use them much but I did want to buy some to take on business trips as emergency rations.  I just got back from a five day trip and I realized how much more challenging post-surgery business travel will be, especially when most of your time is spent closeted in conference rooms with catering.  In some ways I'm actually looking forward to conquering that challenge.  Whatever it takes...

I like Quest bars, but do not rely on them.  Only for the occasional time when out and about.  Only eat about a third or half at any time.
