Good morning :)

Good luck at the tournament, Barb!

It's another cold one out there today! I can honestly say that aside from a few weeks of one exceptionally hot/humid summer a few years ago, I have not felt warm in the 8 1/2 years since my WLS. Also, I. Hate. Snow.

Back to work update: Process meeting November 25th, first day back at work Wednesday, November 26th. A little anxious, a little stressed, but mostly excited, focused, determined, and relieved that I am finally well enough to get back to life.

Eating a little light today and upping fluids in hopes of getting things "moving". Doctor appointment late this afternoon, Andrew is coming for dinner (or maybe just a later visit if he has to work late), not sure what else!

8 1/2 years post-op

- coffee with cream x 3 over the morning, upping water intake today as well -

B - Source Greek 50, Premier protein shake

S - Chike protein iced coffee

L - 3 oz tuna salad (with full fat mayo, green onions, celery, red & green pepper), extra peppers on the side for dipping

S - tea with milk x 2

D - 3 oz rare BBQ steak, lemon-basil green beans & mushrooms

S - likely just tea

Stay warm!

K. :)

Karen I can sure understand the anxiousness of returning to work.  Just try and take one day at a time - just like a newly post op....

You are a smart cookie - and confident most times in my opinion.  It must be exciting to see your life returning to normal.

Thank you so much for the advice and support. Although there is some anxiety around returning (I can work up any number of outcomes and scenarios in my mind lol) I am at a point of not caring - not that I don't care, but that I am focused on my health and success and not what others may think. Go to work, do a great job, get paid, go home to enjoy a life outside of work.

I appreciate your insight.

You are right that you cant control what others think.

How amazing is it that you are able to return?  especially after the health issues you have faced and fought....and won

It sounds kind of sappy but in the last 9 months instead of waking up and feeling grateful that I actually woke up, I feel "grateful with a plan". I've learned a great many things in the past couple of years (about myself, I mean) - I always thought I was strong, now I know I am. :)

I DID win and will CONTINUE to win.

Thank you.

Karen I don't know what health problems you had, but I am so happy that you won and I am excited for you to be returning to work

P.S. I meant to mention this yesterday, Barb, after noticing your signature line: HUGE congratulations to you! Your tenacity and dedication to losing the regain is fantastic - way to go!

Thanks Karen - but typically my behaviour....after great success comes some self sabotage......I just get sick of watching every little thing that goes in my mouth...and splurge.

Had a great day going yesterday until friends coaxed me to meet for ****tails to wait for our husbands from the golf course...( ok they didnt have to coax too hard!  )..

Back on that friggen horse today ....again.......
