Social worker

I have my appointment with the social worker coming up in a few weeks. Kind of freaked out..

What can I expect? Is there any testing done?

Relax ....it is just a little vague chat to see who you are and just to get some vague history.

The details they need will come from each of the following appointments with the repected professionals.

Yes, breathe - a few weeks is long time to be freaked out!

Just think about what a SW does - they are looking to see that your 'socal' network is there.  Who is going to support you and how?  When you get out do you need to set up your own supports or will you have people around you to help you.  How are you going to manage those who don't support you.

That is they type things they are looking for.  Just take some time to think about your supports to prepare yourself.

Then exhale.....
