Jaxie? Congrats to you!!! Very excited for you.
For those that are following the drama of my unsupportive family, I told my mother that I had to have a hernia repaired and she made me feel horrible for it. I can't imagine if she knew that I was having something "elective". I don't care, I'm not letting anyone rain on my parade.

Congrats!! My mom knows and is somewhat supportive (she thinks I should wait until a time when I have less stress, I really don't think that's going to happen anytime soon, single mom to 3 kids, one aged 12 hitting the teen years and another soon to follow turning 11) My stress is only just beginning, so why not have the surgery now before all the "stuff" that's going to happen, this way at least I'll be at a healthier weight and won't be at risk of a stroke! :) I have a friend who is very supportive of this, she understands and was with me for my first orientation 2 years ago, she's more like a sister really, we've been friends since 8 yrs old.
Moving on doesn't mean you forget about things. It just means you have to accept what happened and continue LIVING
My BFF lives way far away so we never get to see each other. We talk every day over the phone and Facebook, but it's not really the same. Though, it is nice to know that I have *someone* in my corner. Other than the lovely Jaxie!
