Hi Melanie,
That's great we are pretty close together in the process. Orientation is great, its about 2 hours long with a lot of other people in the same position. My class was fairly large, had about 30 or 40 people, but half of them were likely family members. They tell you its a good idea to take someone with you to orientation but I went straight after work so I went by myself. They give you an orientation folder with tons of information and a lot of forms you need to fill out before your first appointment. They do a power point presentation which gives you a lot of info, I found it very informative and they answer questions. At the end of the session they give everyone a piece of paper with your next two appointments. They are usually for the Social Worker appointment and the Nurse Practitioner. I'm sure you will get your letter soon with the orientation date!

Hello and welcome to the board. My experience is that from first referral from your doctors office till ready for Surgery.... there is no better thing out there than this Board. So much information, knowledge and support is here. I would have been so lost without it.... Thank you to all the members for their input and support to all the people who are going through this process

Welcome,
I'm going through TWH as well and have my last 2 appts Nov 18 and Dec 5th.
I found this forum really helped and especially I went to a group meeting at a local coffee shop hosted by Karen. this was fantastic because I met great people, someone who understands the process because LORD knows I don't and just to know your not alone. I would suggest you go to a group meeting held in your area (not sure where you are). Going to another meeting next Tuesday with same group.
All the best in your journey!!!!
