2 years!
This week marks two years post op for me! what an amazing life I now have. I have found the fountain of youth. Been enjoying life and having fun and kicking ass and taking names. lol.... My 19 year old son has taken steps too to lose about 85 pounds on his own! I added a before/after collage of him as well because I am quite proud of him to do it before he hit the years when it becomes way too hard! He went from an XXL shirt 42 pants to a medium shirt and 32 waist!
no regrets. This is the BEST thing I have ever done for myself! At my 2 year follow ups they were all very proud of me and happy with my progress and told me I have been a complete success! I am 131 pounds and if 10 pounds finds its way back onto my body I am fine with that! (but only 10 lol) and to think, when they asked me 2 years ago what my "goal weight" was I told then 150 and they told me that was unrealistic (mind you, to be considered a success 170 was their goal)
You look amazing, no doubt about it. I have followed along your journey, you've done amazing.....But your KID!! OMG good for him!! I am so proud of him for you!! Congrats to you both!
Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!
THanks, Kelly! :) I have lost 144ish pounds and people are quite taken aback but when they see him they are like OMG WTF lol ALl he did was walk more, eat less, drink less pop (and more beer lol)
Men. They lose much easier, for the most part eh? Congrats again to you both!
