RNY  5 Years 6 Months Post Op

Morning

Awake way too early again.  Off to golf for the first time here this year and will be golfing 8 out of the next 10 days.  Ughh - too much in a row but it sure beats working. 

STEPS - 6700

EATS

B - 2 large mugs of regular coffee

     Premier protein shake

 

S on course - 1 Crunch pac of apple slices and grapes

                    6-7 whole strawberries with a bit of splenda

 

L - Grilled chicken Caesar salad

    Michelob Ultra low carb beer

 

D - 2 cups of green salad - lots of veggies included and regular fat dressing ( 2 TB)

    Hamburger - all the fixings - no bun

 

S - Light and Fit Greek yogurt - 80 Calorie container

 

MYFITNESSPAL totals for the above menu are:  Calories - 1,385,  Carbs - 61 Grams,  Fat - 70 Grams,  Protein - 111 Grams

 

All water - more decaf coffee - vits

Morning all

At work already.  Not feeling well, stupid sinuses.

Will see how I feel after work,  might go to the gym.

D- sAme as lunch

S-tea 4oz skim milk. Be well everyone

Good morning Barb, Sounds like lots of steps for you. Today is my last day of work for a week. Lots of stuff to do next week and the weather is suppose to cooperate. I need to get some exercise in so I am going to bike to work and home today. Not many more days to do this before it will be too cold for me.

l turkey barley soup, sf pudding

s pure protein bar

d steak, salad

s wine

cal 1116, carb 64.5, prot 73.2

Barb, enjoy your golf games this next week! I'm envious of your warm-weather getaway, though it was really nice here yesterday. Not golf and shorts nice though. lol

Tanya and Pat, I hope you both feel better soon!!

Not a lot on the go today til later other than a couple of errands to run. Going out with friends later, not sure what else. I meant to mention what a gorgeous store the newly renovated Loblaws is by me. They are the only grocery store I know of that bakes and sells cheese chips!! I used to make them all the time as a crunchy protein snack, what a treat to buy them already done! (grated parmesan formed into little piles and then baked until crispy, delish!)

8.5 years post-op (long-term maintenance)

- coffee with cream x 4 over the day -

B - Source Greek 50, Premier protein shake

S - parm cheese chips dipped and scooped in homemade salsa

L - small whole wheat wrap stuffed with 2.5 oz chicken breast, cucumber, tomato, red onion, feta, tzatziki

S - Chike protein iced coffee, later: parm cheese chips and salsa

D - chicken, veggie stir-fry

S - coffee with cream, maybe a club soda with lime

Yummmm......its all temporary....and you might get to a point eventually when you look fondly back at your optifast days....eating was so easy!
