MY EXPERIENCE- One week post op

Thanks Roxy! glad to know my emotions during the last week are somewhat the norm! I was feeling a bit lost:D
I loved your post! Thank you so much for sharing! I am 2 weeks post op myself and I can relate to everything in your post. You have me laughing over here and laughing still hurts in my abdomen area - but the laugh your post gave me was well worth it!. If you like, you can add me as a friend, we are pretty close in our journeys. My surgery date was 10/13/2014.
Glad your spirits are up! I've caught some nasty sinus virus or something that seems all that worse since just recovering from surgery so soon. Good luck on your journey! A friend told me this advice, just remember, each day will be better than the last!
Welcome to the losers bench!

Thanks! Will add you, and will be cheering you on and following your progress as well :) Get well soon!
I too felt a range of emotions the days and weeks after my surgery. I think its our hormones and such. I just have one minor concern about your post, regarding the amount of food you can eat. Please remember that nerves etc have been cut in your stomach and you might not register a full feeling..(I didn't get a full feeling until about 3 months out). It is important to measure your food and stay within the guidelines your clinic has set out for you. You have done great so far, and I don't want to sound like a downer- I just don't want to see you cause yourself some harm. Good luck with the rest of your journey..it does get better as the days go on.

No need to worry! If you'll notice, I spoke with my NUT the following day regarding everything. Her and I have me on a plan that works for me, so I am fine.
Thank you!

She told me a 3/4 cup of food was fine, which is what I have been eating. She said once I reach the soft food stage, it will all change because right now, the liquids are just going right through me. She said I will be full come the soft food stage sooner than I am now on the liquids. This is my centre though, and based on my specific situation, maybe check with your NUT, she will know what is best for your specific situation. Good luck to you! :)
Very glad to hear you're taste buds are allowing more variety now! :)
I'm in pre-op waiting room right now! Eep! :)
