Dear Zizzler,

I trick people into thinking I'm healthy, but all I am is tiny balls of pasta. I'm sorry.

Love, Couscous

So funny...lol

Couscous was a one-time thing because I forgot my lunch and it was the lesser of the evils at the deli I went to.  Not going to make a habit of it, as seductive as it is.  What do you think of quinoa?

I like quinoa very much, but I eat very little of it. I treat as I treat rice - once in a while. Yes, I realize it's a super food and a health(ier) grain, but it is still that - a grain. I have some fabulous quinoa recipes that I enjoy, but I am almost 9 years post-op. Eating quinoa during my losing phase, which for me was a long 3 years, was an absolute no.  Believe it or not I still eat VERY protein-forward after all these years. But, all things said, this is what has worked for ME. Others will make their own choices.

Edited to add: If I went to a deli for lunch I would purchase meat and cheese slices and make roll-ups.

I never thought of that, good idea.  Guess I was focused on resisting the Montreal style bagels.  Live and learn....
