you will notice that some actors are repeated, but there are some different celebrities in each link I believe. You will also notice that it is brought out that some celebs didn't post a pic on their profile. There are other actors, but I can't recall who. I watched a talk show about a year and a half ago, and all I remember is that the host discussed celebrities/actors who had met their mates on dating websites such as match.com., and I was shocked at the list. Also, there was an African-American actress who met her fiancé on match.com, and he came out on the show and surprised her with flowers, and I was amazed, cuz she was so elegant and well put together, and the guy who came out was in a pair of moms jeans, a Tshirt and a baseball cap. I thought it was the most wonderful example of real love ever! Wish I could remember who it was!!! Hope this satisfies you curiosity just a bit ;)

No offence, but you likely will not get any replies or messages without a picture up. Everyone is online dating these days, its the norm! The sites offer hundreds, thousands of options really, for potential partners, and men will always choose to talk to someone with a picture up. In fact, most men will state that in their profile. And I don't think its shallow, I think its realistic. Physical attraction needs to be there. It may not be the most important thing, but it is important. I know I wouldn't talk to a man without a picture... Why would I when there so many other profiles with pictures? But, the main reason I would avoid that, is because I would also feel if he couldn't post a pic, that he may be hiding something (married) Maybe I am a bit jaded, I've been an online dater' for ten years now.

I completely agree with you, all of it.

So what I hear you saying is you're horny, what with the ball of hormones and all. ;)

Isn't that the point of joining an online dating site, to be seen?

It's really up to you if you choose to date or not. I find people who date early out tend to over-stress about "whether to tell him about my surgery", which always leads me to believe that they should be concentrating more on their progressing good physical health instead of venturing out and hoping to include someone on their weight loss journey like-it-or-not/like-me-or-not. Too much emphasis focused on insecurities.

I wasn't seeing anyone in particular when I had surgery. Like Tracey, I was a 38 year old divorced mom and was perfectly happy focusing on our lives and not all that anxious to bring anyone else into the mix just yet. It's really a personal decision and many times, what/who life brings you.

Omg I feel like my hormones are hijacking my life!  I watched Outlander the other night and I swear my ovaries almost exploded!  Great series btw, boo that they make us wait until April for the next episodes!  Boo I say!

My situation is that I never had children (fertility problems), and while I was common-law married years ago, have never been married either.  I just have this sense of urgency like I will regret it if I do not do everything I can to move forward with that aspect of my life asap.  I have spoken to my therapist about it and she asked me to consider waiting until the new year, which I think is reasonable.  In the meantime I am such a pervert oogling the guys at the gym, can't even look them in the eye, like they will know what I am thinking of or something. Sometimes I wish I could have that feeling of indifference back, I feel so exposed!  I was looking through online dating ads and there was one for a guy who sits a few cubicles down from me at work.  It just sort of brought it home that everyone is using this tool.  What if I post an ad with a photo and someone else sees it at work and tells everyone I have an ad?

I think my ovaries jiggle a little when I see Darryl on the Walking Dead. LOL Of course, they're just floating around in there now, so who knows.......

I can guarantee you that you do not want a pregnancy right now - for many reasons, not the least of them being you just had WLS to LOSE weight, a pregnancy at this point would be more than overwhelming for your body and your brain. This is the time that you get to find out who YOU are again.

Only my opinion but if I were on a dating site and a man contacted me who didn't have a photo? Not interested. I want to see who I am talking to and let's be honest, we are attracted (and not) to certain "types", just as others will be (or not be) to us. It's only fair I think. If someone from work sees... well, I guess I would cross that bridge when I came to it.

Ohhh yes, Rick too, the obvious choice. There's something about Darryl's dark yet vulnerable nature that intrigues me. And makes my ovaries jiggle, apparently. LOL!

Edited to add: Oh. I'm pretty sure his handsome face and bulging muscles have something to do with it also. ;)
