Almost 5 months out..Hernia repair and Onederland!
Well next week I will hit the 5 month mark. Have had no real issues so far (except for passing a kidney stone the day after my wls)..as well a****ting the proverbial 3 week and 3 month stalls. I hit a few personal goals along the way, one being the lowest weight in 10 years. A few weeks ago started having some pain in my left side (pelvic area and under breast), and couldn't hold anything down. A few local ER trips later it was thought to be gynecological, which was partially true, as it turns out I may need a hysterectomy at 48 yrs of age. I remained in contact with my clinic (Guelph), and they insisted I go to their ER, which I thankfully did. 8 days later, I am home (with 6 new incision sites in my belly), a repaired hernia and minus a few more pounds! After weeks of toying with me the scale has finally dropped into Onederland...196.2! Yeah for me! (would jump up and down if it didn't hurt my stitches..lol)
As I haven't been on here much lately due to above issues, I wish everyone going into surgery the best, and those finishing up....welcome to the bench! For those starting out..be patient, it works and its worth it!

I see that you are done your appointments and just waiting for your post op class-awesome. You are progressing really well. By this time next year you will be well into your new life!

Hey Vicky :)
Wow you've had a roller coaster ride of stuff eh ? Sounds like you are soldiering on through like a trooper though dear ! Congratulations on reaching your goals so far ! That's awesome . A friend of mine just had a hysterectomy at 49 , she has had lots of issues with periods and so on for years so that was why she did it . But she had it done in early June , she says she has never felt better !! Not sure what your issues were but hopefully this will help you reach complete health soon !!
Good to see you back on , keep us posted on your progress , and stay strong lovey .
Hugs
Jax xx
Thanks Jax!
As much as its been a rollercoaster ride..I wouldn't change a thing. Both my surgeon and the nurses commented on my positivity, and it's weird, but I don't feel down at all. Just taking it all in stride. I hit a speed bump, that's all. And I feel much much better now than 3 weeks ago ( couldn't hold anything down )..
As for the gyno stuff...I figure once they get things sorted out I will be ready to deal with that as well, and by this time next year it will all be a distant memory.
Thanks for the reply.
By the way, how is your journey progressing?
