still not loosing weight
i am now going on week 4 post op, and after not weighing myself for 5 days i gained 6oz
meanwhile i only drink 3 boost diabetic drinks and about 3-4 35 calorie yogurts
i really have not lost that much weight since getting home 4 days out
i really want to start Bernstein and getting injections to see if that will help
Patrick,
I don't know your history, which centre you're through, or even which surgery you had so I will keep my comments general.
First, you are not getting enough protein in your diet. While I realize that some people are told to drink the Boost Diabetic, it's comparatively low in protein to other protein supplements. You should be aiming for at least 70g of protein per day. You should also be drinking at least 64 oz of water per day. What else is on your meal plan from the centre? Surely not just Boost and yogurt at 4 weeks out.
Second, your body is holding on to anything it can right now. You don't mention how much you have lost, just that you gained 6 whole ounces. Perhaps take another look at the scale. If you do a search on this site (magnifying glass up to the right of your screen) for 3 week or 4 week or (any) week stall, you will find thousands of posts similar to yours.
Finally, I have no idea why on earth you would want to donate your hard earned cash to a scammer like Bernstein. The shots DO NOTHING. They do not make you lose weight. It's a B vitamin that you're paying hundreds of dollars for. Feel you need a B12 shot? Talk to your doctor, they'll give you one for next to nothing.
Walk when you're able, sip water all day long, re-read your post-surgical instructions with respect to nutrition.
Karen.

People "stall" all the time early out (and not-so-early-out). Here is a link to a search I did on "stalls" with 10 pages of threads about it.

You are most likely just in a stall as your body adjusts to it's changes, but 16 grams of carbs in one shake is way too many. There are protein shakes with much better stats out there.

I think he meant 16g of protein in the Boost Diabetic. But you are so right - WAY better shakes to be had.

I checked the label. 16 grams of protein and 16 grams of carbs.
