Me too... I am constantly drinking. I think it helps. Whether it be water, opti, hot tea, broth, I am constantly drinking to try and block out the hunger.

Good luck, you can do it. Maybe come here and write when you think you want to reach for food. :)

Hi Jennifer,

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I'm doing this journey through TWH as well.  My orientation was Sept. 24th 2014.  My appts. are very spread out.  I don't see the Social worker until Oct. 27th and then the Nurse Practitioner Feb. 2nd 2015.  Do you know if that is normal?  Good luck on the 20th!!  If you'd like an email buddy for the journey now or anytime in the future please let me know.

Take good care,

Deb

Make sure you drink all your shakes, and have lots of water in between.  When you get hungry, if it's not shake or water time, distract yourself.  Go for a walk, do a craft, clean, whatever works for you.

This is my last day of opti, how happy am I. lol Day 3 was very hard for me too. I honestly didn't think I would make it through without grabbing something. I did find the broth helped a lot. I think the flavour tricks your mind into thinking you've ate. That's how I felt anyway. After day 3 It was a lot better until I hit day 12. For some reason that day was the worst. As the saying goes I could have ate the arse hole out of a skunk. I don't have much advise other then It made me feel good knowing someone else out there was just as hungry as me. lol

split your shakes in half?  that way your body is getting nutrients more often?  Hang in there though, it will all be worth it!! :)

Moving on doesn't mean you forget about things.  It just means you have to accept what happened and continue LIVING
