Not losing weight on Opti

Hmmm... I expected to lose around 10 lbs on this minimum, but so far, day three, and nothing, I actually gained a pound.

I am not one to complain, but I find it absolutely disgusting. It is a small, very small price to pay So, suck it up' is the advice I give myself daily while cringing and chugging it back. I bought extracts, and have tried different recipes, but really, thus far, the only thing I have found to cut through the taste of the vanilla, is coffee. Coffee makes it somewhat bearable.

Hopefully I do lose a few lbs before PATS on Friday but its not looking positive.. WHY am I not losing weight! Maybe I am just expecting this all to happen a little too fast, maybe my body is in shock mode and holding on to the weight, who knows, but by Friday, I hope to be down at least a little. Come on body! Show me something.

Off to drink lunch now. xoxox

Jennifer, take a breath. You know that everyone's body responds differently - some lose a big chunk, some lose none! The point of Optifast is to shrink your liver so that surgery can be performed more safely. As long as your liver is losing fat (which it is, since you're following the plan) try not to worry about the scale. IT WILL HAPPEN!

Karen ;)

Just being impatient  I'm good at that

Thanks Karen, I will breath... And pay less attention to the scale.

Yeah, I'm good at that too. Funny thing though, NEVER impatient with WLS. I had faith in the process, the surgery, and mostly faith that surgery would kick my body's bad attitude to the curb. 8.5 years later, body's attitude definitely adjusted. ;)

You hang in there!

I have total faith in the process too, and I am gonna rock it! Just like you did! I just know I will. Maybe its because I find Opti incredibly horrid, that I expect to see some results from following the plan. But I know they're happening, even if the scale states otherwise...
