Good afternoon everyone. When I wen to post this morning the internet wasn't up in the house. We have been having issues due to construction in the area, but it seems fine now.
Yesterday saw further advancement in my quest to take over the warm water pool. My friend of 30 years and I arrived very early before the others. I waited patiently for Strategic Alley (aka. "Elaine" if that really is her name} to appear and low and behold she arrived. She suggested that we combine finances and purchase tickets in bulk. I thought this woman is brilliant, the simplest path to warm pool domination is just to buy all the tickets so that there are none left for the others, why hadn't I thought of that. Now to convince my husband that he needs to work a second job to finance this worthy goal. Alas, Strategic Alley just wanted to bring down the unit price by buying in bulk, but that is clever too, bide our time, win through consistency. It showed a commitment of alliance on her part. Once again her and I were at the front of the pool in our chorus line of jumping jacks, ski steps, running in place oblivious to the comments about our Tsunami effect in the pool. I looked over at my friend of 30 years and praise be she was making waves too. Everything was going to plan until "Helmet Hair" (really, where does one buy that much Final Net) behind me started talking about Strategic Alley and myself trying to get as skinny as the instructor. I watched friend of 30 years slow down til the water around her was as calm as Lake Placid. I wanted to yell don't hang back with the brutes. It's tough to decide which is more important, a friendship of 30 years or warm pool domination. Oh well, friendships can mend over time. Strategic Alley and I picked up the pace even more following the intoxicating disco beat. That's right, we are brick houses, we're mighty, mighty, and we're letting it all hang out, as the song goes.
