What is the scariest thing about Halloween?
I will take your black licorice and trade you a big bag of witches kisses! lol

They are the most disgusting very chewy candy-like-things, always wrapped in "Halloween" wrappers. No idea where people buy them, no idea how they always ended up in my son's bag. I used to save them in a dish for the teenagers with no costumes who come about 9 PM. lol
Hence, my house wasn't egged. I gave out candy, just the **** stuff. LOL

You asked how "I" handle the Halloween candy situation, so I responded with what I think is a fairly decent answer ;)
It may not work for you personally, but I bet there are other addicts like myself that can find at least one candy they wouldn't touch. A Reece peanut butter cup would test every bit of my will power, but you couldn't pay me to eat a Big Turk! yuck
True! Problem is, a lot of the chocolate bars come in those econo packs that have a variety in them, and there's always at least one type I like. :)
It's a little easier for me this year - I just can't eat sugar anymore since about a month ago, or I get an RH attack. So, out of necessity, I've been avoiding it, even though sometimes I'm dying to have it.
