Social Worker Appointment

Can someone please tell me what happens at the social worker appointment?  What's the purpose?

They just want to make sure you have a good understanding of what the procedure is and what will happen, basically the write state of mind

Well that seems pretty straight-forward.  Plus I guess they'll go over all the forms we had to hand in.
