Multivitamin with 18 mg iron??
I use a prenatal vitamin since they have high iron. At first you will have to crush them to take.

I get Centrum Chewable Multivitamins from the USA. I live near the border and I have family in the States, so I get them when I pop over or my family sends them to me. These are available at Walmart or any drugstore in the USA, but not in Canada. These have 18 mg of iron. I take 2 per day. My dietitian said these are fine for post-op, at any stage as they are very complete.
I am anemic so I take additional iron in the evenings (with vitamin C to help with absorption). I'm told that the Feramax at Costco is the BEST iron supplement out there.

Costcos Kirkland brand of Prenatal multivitamins is what HRRH recommends. It has 18mg of iron and very inexpensive.
I found and chewable multi vitamin with 10mg of iron its called The Ultimate One. Its fruit punch flavor. I found it at my health food store. I actually saw it at two health food stores it is very reasonably price it was $ 13.99 for 50.
Hope this helps

Hey, were you at the class yesterday at TWH? I ask as it was discussed there lol.
I am heading to Costco to check their selection out. I had a hard time getting the Materna vitamins down when I was pregnant.... So am hoping to find something different.
Another question - can we keep on with the chewables and then take an additional iron supplement to make up to the 18mg?
If you need additional iron (as per blood work and recc'd by your doctor), yes. I take FeraMax - excellent product, not hard on the stomach at all.
