I am worried after googling some more on this bacteria. I tested positive for it, and started a two week antibiotic regime today... Based off what I read, it is tricky to get rid of, and they will not perform any surgery until it is a negative test result...

I hope this antibiotic works...

Don't worry.  I had it.  I did not have any symptoms, but it showed up in my initial blood work.  Apparently it is quite common.  The issue with this is, (what I was told) was that you can still test positive through blood work after the antibiotic regimen..so they do a nuclear medical test to make sure it is gone.  You have to go to a hospital (nuclear medicine dept,), and I think I had to inhale or drink (cant remember) some radiation...then you blow into a helium type balloon which gets sent off for analysis.  Doesn't hurt, is really easy.  Mine came back negative and I have since had my surgery.  You will be fine.
