Time off work?
I don't know about Guelph, but TWH they say about a month. Now, I've been off for 3 weeks and I feel like I could have went back a week or so ago but the food is the killer. I've had a hard time figuring out what I can and can't eat, so because I that I'm staying home until the month is up.

I had my surgery in Guelph as well, it really depends on your type of job. I'm at a desk all day and my surgeon recommended 4 weeks. After two weeks I felt totally fine....then it hit me. Fainting spells from not eating/drinking enough, total weakness and vomiting when eating. Was awful! My first week back at 5 weeks post op, I worked at home and was only part time that week doing 4 hours a day, worked perfect. By the next week I was fine to come to work but still nervous about the fainting spells. It took me 7 weeks (which is a little long) to finally turn that corner of "I feel like i'm going to die" lol
I went through TWH and I asked for six weeks. I wanted to be well into the soft food stage and used to my food and walking routine and completely recovered before I went back to work. I'm really glad I took that time, it was a good start.
