Quick question about the "girls"

Good morning........ as some of have experienced, the "girls" are a little big and will sag onto my tummy and I am afraid that the will interfere with possible incision sites.  Are we allowed sports bras or regular bra after or even during surgery?

God forbid they are flopping around like loose fish in the surgery room

After it should certainly be ok. During, probably not but you can check with your surgeon. That would be a good question to ask during your PATTS.

You will only have a hospital gown on during your surgery. You may not want one on immediately after until the top incision is healing. A PATTS is your appointment just before surgery. They go over your meds. You meet the anesthesiologist. It is your pre surgery prep. Good time to bring up any surgery questions

Actually you're nekkid during surgery :-) A thought that always plagues me.

I had my period when I had plastic surgery. I had a tampon but they told me to take it out. They placed a pad between my legs during surgery.

When I had gastric bypass the first thing I did when I got to my room was to put on underwear and a sports bra.

I would think once you are awake that wearing a bra would be more comfortable for the incisions as you don't have them rubbing up against them.

It was really odd waking up in a different room, naked, having someone shout your name, especially when you realize that there are a dozen other naked people having their names shouted at them! You think they’d at least button the gown back up and let us be oblivious to that :) At least they threw sheets over us lol!

Thank god at HRRH they helped me discreetly take my arms out while awake in the OR. I woke up with the gown, arms in & tied up at the neck. I was very appreciative of how they preserved my dignity!
