Wow, I thought I was the only one up this early. Woke up at 4:30 and haven't been able to get back to sleep, so I finally just got up. Which means I'm going to be wrecked at work today. Oh well.

Speaking of work, I had a hard time concentrating at work yesterday. One of those days. So today I'm determined to go in and plough into my projects and get as much done as I can. Maybe I'll go in early and leave early - nice to be able to make my own hours these days.

1 YEAR, 10 MONTHS POST-RNY

B - Fried egg on 1 slice of P28 bread (6 WW points)

S - 1/2 cup regular ricotta/vanilla/splenda with 1/2 cup raspberries (5 WW points)

L - 2/3 cup leftover homemade Thai basil shrimp over 1/4 cup rice noodles, grape tomatoes from the farmers' market and a small apple for dessert (3 WW points)

S - Quest bar (4 WW points)

D - Homemade charcuterie board: 1 oz "spicy kangaroo summer sausage" that we got at the CNE, 1 oz old cheddar, and some pickles/olives and veggies, small glass of red wine (9 WW points)

S - Homemade skim milk cappucino - got an espresso maker for the hubby. I normally don't drink coffee, but man, that makes a yummy cappuccino, so I have been lately!  Makes a nice dessert or evening "snack" replacement. (1 WW point)

TOTAL WW POINTS: 28
TOTALS: 93g protein, 58g fat, 100 carbs, 28g fiber, 1314 calories

Thought I'd check the totals on MFP as well just to see how they measure up. More carby than I thought, but we'll see how it goes.

Good morning,

I went to bed at 3:30am and I've been at work for about an hour. It's now very clear to me that this is no longer the occupation for me. Although I love the kids and the teaching aspect, the politics, personalities and the lack of work ethics is really getting to me. I only have 4 more years until retirement and I have to figure out a way of coping and dealing with the emotional componet of being somewhere I do  not want to be. I've whined enough....

Wishing everyone a good day!

Today's menu is:

B- Oatmeal with ground flaxseed & cinnamon and coffee

S-Greek yogurt

L-Cottage cheese and diced tomatoes

D- Tuna and tomatoes

Snack-Greek yogurt

Cal-682, Carbs-51, Fat-9, Protein-103, Sugar-20, Chol-77

That is hard. Job satisfaction is a big thing. I know since we moved to OCAD I have not been as happy. Mostly because I usually do not have enough work to keep me busy.

I hope you find a way to make it more pleasant.
