Surgeon Consultation after Orientaion??
I had my orientation July 10 and just got a call from HHR scheduling my 1st appointment with Dr. Sohi for a consultation. I thought the first appointment was suppose to be with the dietician. I am so confused, someone please help
What type of questions will he ask? Just so I can be prepared.

Hiii!!! Yes exactly you meet with your surgeon first, go through all the other appointments and then meet with him again for your last appointment.
From my experience with Dr. Klein, the initial appointment was super speedy, he asked which procedure I'm going with, a few risks, he weighed me, told me I'm a candidate because of my weight and then asked if I had questions, he told me to write any questions along the way to ask him at the final appointment! Then he took me to the reception area to get my next set of appointments. At reception she also set me up to give blood and I did it the same day!! 14 viles of goodness!! It was super quick, but for sure knowing the booklet given at orientation inside and out would be a good thing because all of my other appointments I had been asked very thorough questions about the process!
It is really interesting to see how different the centers are, and why people need to mention it in questions about timelines. From what I can see, at Guelph, where I am at, the surgeon is one of the last appointments. Much different than your route here, where you see the surgeon at the beginning! I guess the other staff at Guelph are the filters!
That is the same for me at Guelph. I have my second round of appointments early September as I didn't want to wait until later in October to see all three on the same day. After that is it on to see some doctor and then I guess it is on to the post op diet meeting and then the surgeon. I am hoping they don't boot me as I don't have 100 pounds to lose and my sister told me that you have to have at least 100 to be in the program.
