milk??
Good morning all...I'm not really a big milk fan just sometimes if I feel for cereal and I usually use skim milk. I have tried almond milk with coconut and it's yummy but I'm wondering what the healthiest and best protein low calorie would be. I'mtrying to prepare for after surgery and there after :)
For protein - milk. For calcium only - almond milk.
I love milk and drink 1%. I mix it with shakes, use it in cooking, and occasionally have a glass of it.

I use 1% all the time. Shakes, coffee, cooking. I'll drink it as well. We also need to remember that our bodies best absorb nutrients from the food we eat. I make a point of getting my 3 dairy servings a day post op. I've had 3 fractures before surgery so bone health is very important to me.

Regular (skim or 1%) milk is fine for most people. Some people start a lactose intolerance (I've had milk issues since birth so it wasn't different for me), and they need to find alternatives such as soy, almond, goats, lactose free etc. Just make sure when you get the alternatives, that it's low fat (i.e. lactose free milk) and low suger (i.e. almond milk).
