what causes you to "dump"
For me it is the sugar. If it is above 9 grams of sugar I am taking a chance. Even natural sugar will cause me to dump if I have to much of it and Sugar free Ice cream is the worse for me. I can have a tablespoon and anything more I am in big trouble. I also can not do any deep fried food. Not even a bite of deep fried. Pasta is a hit and miss along with eggs. the thing is one day you might be able to handle it and another time no way. I am just very careful but when it happens when I am at work it is not fun.
Barb, I don't think that pasta and eggs are making you "dump" - make you sick, throw up, etc yes, but dumping is pretty much reserved for mostly sugar and (sometimes) fats.

I have only dumped 3 times in 8.5 years. This is mostly due to the fact that I completely gave up refined sugar for the first 7.5 years. Very early out I dumped on a tiny bit of egg salad that had too much mayo mixed in (so the fat in the mayo) and 1/2 cup of vegetable juice that unknowingly had 26g of sugar that I drank at my parents' place having not read the label (who knew? it was veggies!). Since then I had an embarrassing dumping incident at work after eating one sweet and sour rib at a luncheon. Last year I pretty much gave up artificial sweeteners so I do occasionally have something with a little sugar (like a thin slice of banana bread) and it's been mostly ok, as long as that piece doesn't turn into a not-as-thin slice. I do not add sugar to anything still but I don't stress if I eat something that has a little sugar (like the banana bread). Thankfully I haven't had any issues, but I believe this is simply because I haven't really eaten refined sugar, by choice.

Here is a good read on dumping syndrome from the Mayo Clinic: Dumping syndrome explained

The refined sugar was incredibly easy. I ate no sweets, no cupcakes, chocolates, cookies, squares... anything that had deliberate refined sugar added to it. No sugar in my coffee... the list goes on. I never avoided some of the things you've dumped on Dawn - BBQ sauce?? Good gawd. Now that I have allowed a VERY low amount of refined sugar back into my diet (at the advice of my liver specialist, who also told me to cut out the artificial chemical crap), I eat pretty much the same. I just do not avoid a small bite of something as a treat. Still no sugar in my coffee.... lol
I wonder if you will continue to dump now that you have been revised. NOT that I think you should test the waters.

I bought a 3lb basket of nectarines. At the beginning of the week. They were great - totally delist!!
At the end of the week when they were at their juiciest... I ended up in bed for 1.5 hours with the spins, and the sweats, followed by the dry heaves...
this is the second time I've dumped. But its a small price to pay to discover what fruits my body can tolerate. the fibre in the fruits that I can tolerate is making my life soooo much easier.
Im ok with canned peaches and pears packed in water, and cantaloupe, but honeydew makes me queasy. I had a handful of cherries yesterday and was fine. I can eat Granny Smith apples and can't wait for the new Mac's this fall. I'm a little scared to try banana ... Will have to get my courage up and try a bit when my daughter cracks one open... (Maybe next week. Or not)
So some ripened fruit makes me dump.
