Question re starting the processes?

I went to the orientation last year and started the processes for the surgery, I made it as far as meeting with the psychologist. But I stopped because my family wasn’t supportive and was discouraging me from going through with it. Now they've changed their minds and want me to go. So my question is. Do I have to start all over from the beginning, from getting the referral and then orientation and so on?

I think the bigger question is are YOU ready. This is your "journey", your decision.

Anyway, I don't know for sure, but I would imagine yes, they would make you start over. New outlook, new commitment, new start. Only way to know is ask I guess?

I strongly second Karens response, as family support  is important but it's you that's adding protein to cottage cheese and trying to drink enough fluids.  This operation is only a tool and the work is all yours , as are the changes, sacrifices and victories.

 Respectfully Jane
