Eating disorder Therapist recommendation?

Can anyone recommend a good therapist/counsellor experienced with eating disorders and WLS in the GTA preferably west end, Mississauga or Oakville but I am not fussy - will travel for the right therapist.  I am struggling with my bingeing and need help.  No help at my center. Thanks, Paula.

Hey there, I am going to check out Overeater Anonymous next week. A friend found their meetings very supportive and helpful when she was working through her struggles with binges. There are meetings being held all over the GTA. Check out their website www.oaontario.org. I hope this helps.

Thanks all.  I forgot about OA. I looked them up once but didn't go to a meeting. I will see what they have around me.  I am also checking the NEDIC website (eating disorders website) for therapists.

Sheena"s Place is a very good place to start they have groups and can help. Also you should contact your bariatric centre and they can get you in one of their psychologist. 

I am aware of Sheena's Place and went to several of their program before surgery.  Thanks for reminding me to have a look at their website.

Paula - my wife - who also had WLS was diagnosed with an eating disorder a year and a half ago - after extensive searching because a lot of Eating disorder centres deal with high calorie/high fat/ quick consumption diets we were able to get into the Credit Valley hospital in Mississuaga - they have a few programs on the go there
