I have had this a couple of time. Often if the water is too cold. I find putting it through a Brita takes out some of the chemicals the city puts in for purifying.

I have trouble with plain water too sometimes, and like Pat usually if it's too cold.

MANY of us cannot do plain water post surgery. No matter what temperature. I can choke it down during a workout, but I do add MIO the rest of the time. I read somewhere that the balance (maybe PH?) seems to make a difference for us post-surgery folk. I've read that VSGers have a very difficult time too.

Surgery March 23/2011. Completed three full marathons and two half marathons, two half Ironman distances. Completed my first Full Ironman distance (4 km swim, 180 km bike, 42.2 km (full marathon) run) in Muskoka August 30/2015. Next Ironman Lake Placid July 23/2017!

Those of you who are long distance walkers, how do you manage such long distances? I do no want to be a marathon person Thanks but would love to walk the distance and time you all do.

Take care and Have fun, stay safe and hydrated; it is reportedly going to be a hot weekend

Glad your hospital visit went so well. You will find as you get smaller and walk more you will be able to walk further. Sounds like you are already having some success in walking.

60, I remember that age LOL
